Two quick sums

Smaller questions than the Fit Check, each answered in a few seconds. Every assumption sits under its tool, and you can change all of them.

How long would savings last?

If the income stopped tomorrow, how many months could the household keep going on what is already saved?

4 months Then the household is borrowing, or selling something.

Savings ÷ monthly spending. It assumes spending does not rise, which it usually does: an illness adds costs just as the income stops.

What will college cost, and when?

Add each child’s age. The bars show what four years of college would cost in each year it falls due, with fees rising every year until then.

    The bigger sum

These two answer one question each. The Fit Check puts them together with life, illness and disability cover, and shows the whole working.
